What World Water Day is

A United Nations observance on 22 March, established by the General Assembly in 1992 and coordinated by UN-Water. Each year addresses a specific theme and carries the annual UN World Water Development Report.

The report is published to coincide with the day and is the substantive output; the observance itself is the occasion for its release.

Why this date does not move
