What World Health Day is

Held on 7 April, the anniversary of the World Health Organizationu2019s constitution coming into force in 1948. WHO selects an annual theme and campaign.

It is one of several official WHO campaign days through the year. The theme is announced by WHO rather than fixed, so the subject changes annually.
