What Vaisakhi is

The spring harvest festival of the Punjab and, for Sikhs, the anniversary of the founding of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699.

It is one of the few major South Asian festivals with a near-fixed Gregorian date, because it follows the solar Punjabi calendar.

Why this date does not move
